There is a kind of believer who does not live by reaction, emotion, or circumstance. They are not shaped by storms, nor defined by waves. They move with a deeper rhythm — the rhythm of God Himself. Scripture calls them the faithful, the steadfast, the preserved. But there is another way to understand them:
They are Children of the Tides.
Tides are not chaotic. They are governed. They rise and fall with the pull of the moon — steady, inevitable, faithful. And so it is with the sons and daughters who have learned to move with God’s timing.
1. Governed by Pull, Not Pressure
Waves respond to wind. Tides respond to pull. Tide Children respond to God’s voice, not the pressure of circumstances.
2. Moving in Rhythm, Not Reaction
Waves are unpredictable. Tides are rhythmic. Tide Children walk in spiritual timing — slow, deep obedience.
3. Shaped by Depth, Not Surface
Waves move the surface. Tides move the entire ocean. Tide Children carry deep peace that reshapes hearts.
4. Storms Cannot Change Tides
Storms make waves bigger — but they do not alter tides. Tide Children endure because their movement is governed by something storms cannot touch.
5. Preservers in a Corrupt Atmosphere
Psalm 12 speaks of deception and instability — yet God promises to preserve His people. Tide Children carry this preserving grace.
6. Walking the Ancient Path
Enoch walked with God’s rhythm. Noah moved by unseen pull. Abraham rose and returned in cycles. Jesus Himself moved in perfect tidal rhythm.
7. The Mark of a Tide Child
They rise. They recede. They return. They reshape. They endure. They obey. They move with God’s pull.
A Personal Note: “Dauntless”
Three years ago, the LORD gave me the word “Dauntless.” I told Him I was anything but. He told me I would become just that.
Today, I understand.
The wind and waves can be violent — but when your peace is anchored in Christ, the pathway over the waters becomes steady, stable, and sure.
We are not made of waves. We are made of tides.
