Healing Begins When We Let His Light In

We don’t begin healing by trying harder. Healing begins when we let the Light of Jesus’ Presence into the places we’ve kept hidden. He already sees us. He already knows us. There is no corner of our lives hidden from His gaze—not because He is intrusive, but because He is nearer than our own breath. Scripture says He walks with us all our days, closer than a brother. Just because we can’t always see or feel Him doesn’t mean He isn’t there.

Many people reject God based on secondhand information—wounds from religion, the failures of people who claimed His Name, or ideas shaped by culture. But knowing about God is not the same as knowing God. The Word invites us: “Taste and see that the LORD is good.” Not “hear about Him.” Taste. See. Experience. His love truly is sweeter than honey from the comb.

We often blame God for our pain. And while He could stop it, we forget He told us to listen to Him and obey Him—not religion, not our own ideas, but His voice. He gave us free will, and when we choose our own way, we’re like children playing with fire and expecting not to be burned. Consequences teach us, and pain often comes with those lessons. But even then, God is not harming us—He is calling us back, gathering us, healing us.

Healing begins when we stop hiding and let Jesus shine into the shadows. His Presence reveals, restores, renews, and resurrects. One day, this life and this world will pass, and a new creation will come. In that world, we will have no trouble listening to Him. But even now, we can begin to live in His Light. Healing is costly, yes—but not complicated. It begins with letting Him in.
